I started riding at 8 years old. Having begged my parents for years to take me horse riding they finally gave me the choice of having a block of lessons booked or a birthday party for my 8th birthday. I obviously chose the lessons, I still think to this day my mother wishes I had chosen the party!

I didn’t buy my own horse until I was 19, up until the purchase of Jimmy, a beautiful bay ex racer who stood at 17.1hh, I’d begged & borrowed rides and regularly helped out at my local riding stables to earn a free ride.

I’ve been very fortunate over the years and have had the pleasure of riding several wonderful horses, some my own & some loaned, each very special in their own way.

My current horse is a cheeky Irish gelding called Gordon who I enjoy competing as often as I can. We dabble at a bit of Dressage but Gordon’s real passion is jumping, he’s also quite keen on galloping and is at his happiest when he can combine the two!
I’ve been a member of Cornwall Trec Group for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the club.
I’m delighted to now be part of the committee and look forward to seeing you all out enjoying your horses, ponies and our wonderful club.
